Things to do in Myrtle Beach?
I hate to do this to you guys since I know how annoying it is, but as a NYC Knottie I have seen (and responded to) my fair share of tourist posts on our local board...
Any ideas for things that DH and I can do while on our 3-day stay in
Myrtle Beach? We will be there in the middle of Feb (mid-week).
Restaurants? Activities? Sights? TIA.
Re: Things to do in Myrtle Beach?
Myrtle Beach is a tourist trap. Tons of shows and amusement parks. February is a little off season but you should still find plenty to do.

For really good seafood, avoid all those big, overdone crabshack type places. I like Nance's in Murrells Inlet (not sure if it's open in Feb) and the Sea Captain's House on Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. Both have great views of the water. I like Key West Grill at Broadway at the Beach, but it's just a huge, no view restaurant.
Activities:
Shopping! There are several outlets, as well as Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing.
Broadway at the Beach - shops, restaurants, bars, The Palace Theatre, Ripley's Aquarium and an IMAX. Currently at the Palace: Le Grande Cirque and The Magical Spirit of Ireland. For more on Broadway: http://www.broadwayatthebeach.com/dining.html
Barefoot Landing - the older, less asphalt, version of Broadway. Also has the Alabama Theatre and a House of Blues. http://barefootlanding.com/
The "center" of Myrtle Beach used to be the Pavilion and the area surrounding it, including a Ripley's Believe It or Not and the best tacky souvenir shop ever - the Gay Dolphin. This area is now being surrounded by huge hotels and is losing most of it's charm, but it's still oceanfront!
