Re: Todays Question 4/6
In Feb, I went to St. Kitts. I LOVE it there! It is so pretty and the people are probably the nicest islanders I have ever met. PLUS! While we were snorkling, we came accross a giant sea turtle. That was one of the best moments in my life!
As far as having anything planned??? I *might* go back to CO for Labor day, but we'll see what the financial situation is like around then. I am hoping that people come and visit me instead of me going to them.
over Christmas we did a road trip to pittsburgh, nyc & connecticut to see family
due to the ecomony we are not taking our trip to san fran at the end of the month
we're talking about going to chicago for a few days this summer & spend a few more days in WI with my family
for christmas this year we are heading to taiwan again & hopefully vietnam w/ friends (he was just laid off so i don't know if this is still feasible)

Are you me??? Freaky how close this reply is to mine.
DH and I went to Pittsburgh for Christmas to see our families.
We wanted to go to San Fran this summer, but due to vacation time we can't go. We have 3 weddings that we currenly know of this summer and have to head to Pittsburgh for all of them.
Next year we plan on road tripping to Cali .
I have to say it makes me so happy that someone cared enough to post this! Over the weekend I was feeling disheartened about the whole daily question project since responses have been dwindling and I figured I'd just give it up and doubted anyone would notice.
I like the idea of different people chiming in and asking questions, it'll make it fun for me to come in and see what the question of the day is too instead of thinking of it as a chore that nobody really enjoys haha.
I'll still post questions from time to time if the board keeps up the daily questions... I just didn't want to be the annoying lady who always posts stupid questions haha.
As for me, we are going to Jamaica in November for a week... I'm SOOO excited!!!

hehe wow hudysgirl, that is similar. it was my first time to pittsburgh over christmas. my SIL had only moved there a few years ago & had just had her second child so we had to visit. and my MIL has decided to stay in taiwan permanently due to $ & FIL's health so we had to visit her one last time in the states.
i had planned to attend a conference for work in san fran but due to the economy, the office would not cover costs so it put it way out of budget for us. one day we'll make it to the west coast...

No problem. I do love all the new interaction you were able to bring to this board. I hope others will post more often. I enjoy reading all posts even if work severely cuts into my nesting time.
As for my vacation, I'm not so sure. We are ttc, but that's not working out so well. I'm on the fence about blowing my $ on a vacation. I figured I would get some good ideas from all of you. I think if we don't conceive by June, I'll start planning a vacation for this year.
Its always hard for us to get out and away for long periods of time for big vacations because I'm a full time grad student and my husband runs his own business. We made time for our honeymoon last year, but that was before I started school.
Instead of taking one BIG trip, we usually take many smaller trips throughout the year. I hardly ever have class on Fridays, and while I do have classes on Saturdays, they aren't usually every Saturday.
We always go to atleast one (maybe 2) hockey games down in Atlanta each year. We also usually go to Gatlinburg around Christmas time to do shopping. We go to Nashville about 2 times a year or more to visit family. While we're there we'll get out and see stuff.
We also like to take small day trips to Asheville, Columbia, or even up to Cherokee to go to the Casino.
