I'm Stef, 34 years YOUNG. Work for Rubicon counseling doing therapy at Epworth Children's Home.  Possibly looking for a new job...long story!  Married my husband in NJ this past May and moved here so he could go to law school at USC.  We have no children but would love to as soon as law school is done.  We have met many awesome people since being here but I do miss my friends in NJ.  I belong to the Columbia sports club but don't go as often as I should.  I have one very old lab mix dog who I love to death!  I don't dress her up or allow her to sleep on the bed but she's almost 13 and I worry about how much longer she'll be around.  I am Jewish and my husband is Presbyterian.  We celebrate both holidays and neither of us are very religous but focus more on being good people!  We love to spend our free time taking the kids at the group home out and just spending time with them.  We are also movie buffs and go at least three times a month.  We'd love to meet some other couples that would like to hang out with us once in awhile!  We are not drinkers but do love to go out to dinner.    Any other questions, feel free to ask!

I'm Amy, 27 years old. I work as a pre-kindergarten teacher at a private school here in Charleston. I grew up in Irmo (near Columbia) and visit there often. Will and I got married in Feb 06 and we have a 1 year old pound puppy named Jade and a 4ish year old pound kitty named Sheena. I love the SPCA, local animal shelter and my friends call me a "closet visitor" b/c I don't tell anyone I go! 

I love to read, I have netflix, I cook nightly but I love it, however I really like going out to dinner.
 
Will and I are total opposites. He's a personal trainer and a powerlifter for fun. In every aspect we like the opposite things, except food. We love food! But movies, music, colors, cars, house cleaning, putting away dishes, tv, games, we have nothing in common. However, our marriage is grand and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Stef: My step brother is in law school there, and he and his wife are super fun and hilarious to hang out with...his name is Ross Shealy, in case your hubby runs across him.

Hey y'all. I am Jenn and 28 years old.  Jerry and I met in high school, but didnt start dating until the summer after my senior year and have been together ever since.  We go to all the Carolina football games and live in West Cola.  We both grew up here and when we got engaged, built a house and now are settled here.  I love to read, go shopping, watch movies (athough we dont pay for movie channels and for whatever reason rarely go to the movies-boo!), love music.  We like taking walks together and feel like it gives us "couple time" without interruption.  I am an Early Intervention Specialist for Easter Seals.  I work with children with developmental delays.  I also like to cook, but lately with work, I dont get to as often as I would like.  I think that is it for now.  Nice to meet you guys.

PS.  Did Ross Shealy go to Airport High?  There was a guy there named Ross Shealy, but he was a bit older than me...like 3 years I think.

I'm Wendy, 34,(not my real name but I would be happy to intro my real name at a GTG).  I am native to Columbia, SC.  Originally from a small farm town of St. Matthews.  I have one daughter, 14 going on 30 and we are TTTC.  DH is from MN and arrived in SC by way of grad school at USC.  We married in Woodbury MN Aug 2006.  We live boring lives.  We shoot pool or at least we used to regulary when DH's work hours were better.

Hi! I am Mari (incase you haven't figured it out LOL) - and that is short for my real name, which a lot of people on the Nest actually know. Actually, people here probably know too much about me

I live in the Columbia area. Not in or anywhere that would be considered Columbia - but we'll call it that area because even people in SC don't usually know where my town is Well the town I consider myself to live in - Mr. Postman insists on saying I live in Winnsboro.

I met DH way back in elementary school - hated him until about senior year of high school when we started hanging out in the same "group." Then we started dating, yada, yada, yada. We were married a year on the 16th. We are young - I am 20 and DH turned 21 last month. We have two almost seven month old white, fluffy kittens named GiGi and Joey - they are little pigs

DH works for the Chester County Sheriff's office and I am a junior at Winthrop and about to be an unemployed part time car dealership receptionist because it just doesn't work with my crazy school schedule. How do people work full time and go to school full time? I'm not talking about the energy or brainpower needed for both - I'm just talking about having time for both. They must go to bigger schools that actually offer for than one time slot for each course

Hi! I'm Jessica I am 23 and I work for  a local real estate agency here in Columbia. I live in Cayce with DH and I have lived here for about 3 years now, DH has lived here for over 12. DH and I got married this past August and we are loving our married life. I like to golf, workout, play with our puppies and bean and scrapbook.  We both went to USC and we love our Gamecock football.

Hey! I'm a little late on this, but what the heck!   I'm Jessica and I'm 23 years old.  DH and I moved to Rock Hill after our wedding this past June but we're both originally from Charleston and graduated from USC!  DH is a civil engineer at a Charlotte firm and I work as a first grade teacher.  We're both pretty laid back and enjoy spending time with our friends and family and going out.  We were just settling in and getting used to our new home, but surprises happen and we just found out that we're having a baby which is due in August!  That's pretty much all I can think of, but I hope y'all had a wonderful new year's!

I'm Alena.  I have been married a bit over a year and a half. I'm 23 and my husband is 31. Quite a stretch but it works for us!

He works at the phone company and I'm a Redken Certified Colorist at a salon and spa in North Charleston.  I do a few of the Nestie's hair on here, actually.

We really don't go out a lot, but we usually go somewhere for the weekend, once a month. We enjoy upscale dining, so we have an experience and not just another dinner at Applebee's, lol. Usually we go somewhere whenever we take that little weekend trip.

I'm always going and doing with girlfriends, since he's a homebody. I love watching movies and he rarely goes.

I've met most of the Charleston nesties at both of our G2Gs but we don't have them that often.

I'd love to meet more of y'all!

I'm 24, graduated from NCSU in May with an architecture degree.  After the wedding & move I started working for a firm in downtown Charleston in June.  Joe and I met in college and dated for 3.5 years, engaged 1, married 7 months.  We live in West Ashley and are trying to meet new people in a new city while remodeling the house and taking care of our 1.5 year old black lab mix.  Joe is a vessel test engineer, modifying marine diesel engines and when he's lucky he's out testing them on the gorgeous charleston harbor waters.
