I've never been, but DH and I did get tickets this year! We're really excited about going, but now we're not 100% sure we can because he just got a new job, and its either go to Bonnaroo or celebrate our first anniversary in August....
Anyway, all I do know is that Bonnaroo is a huge event and one of the most popular music festivals in the nation. Yay! :-)

If you do go, be prepared to wait in line to get into the field. People start arriving in town Wednesday night to get in line. I worked near the site for three years and traffic always got a little interesting in such a small town.

DH & I will be there for the first time!  I have heard from friends that you should plan to arrive at the farm the day before the music starts.  Oh, and plan to be in one helluva traffic jam on the interstate getting into Manchester.  I've heard horror stories on the local news of people being stuck in traffic for over 20 hours.

DH plans on us leaving EARLY Thursday morning--2 or 3am, I think. Its a 4 hour drive, but we'll lose an hour because of the time change. Hopefully that's early enough!
How is traffic leaving out on Sunday?

Sunday isn't bad, especially if you leave later in the day. I have seen some people wait until Monday to leave as well.

I'd love to go, but Lil Sis is getting married between Manchester and Tullahoma that Saturday.  I really hope that we don't have too many problems because of Bonaroo.

Poor girl didn't even know until it was too late.  DH is the only one that is from the area and of course he didn't think of it.  Our family and her FI's family are from everywhere - WV, MO, MS, AL,....the happy couple is in AZ!  She just loved our location so much, and it's centrally located for everyone, so it's a destination wedding for all but DH and me.  We'll have to give them directions on the back roads to get there.

I was going to go, but I really can't now. The best way to go is if you camp out! I just hate that it is always on Father's Day weekend & I always have to go to Chattanooga on that weekend. The first year I did not realize how bad it would be & it took me 8 hours to go somewhere 2 hours away! I can go backroads on the mountains, or go through Alabama.....but that is such a pain in the butt! It's crazy there! Lots of drunk people....and lots of drugs going on. The music will be great this year, but I just really really hate crowds, so I guess it's good that I'm not going!
