Re: kelly-$10 Target GC

  • I saw that and thought of you.  No good about another ear infection, but good for the $10 at Target.

  • hijacking....I can't believe DS has another ear infection. Have you been able to convince your DH to at least talk to an ENT about tubes? The ENT said that too many too frequently could potentially lead to hearing issues/loss...
  • I figured that I would give you my advice from someone who has been suffering from ear problems for over 20 years now.  When I was a baby, I got ear infections VERY often.  My parents took me to an ENT, but he wasn't a very good one (and it was the early 80's so there wasn't that much good technology).  I had tubes put in at least 4 times, which in the end caused more problems.  I have had multiple ear drum replacements because of having the tubes so mady times (the last of which was almost 6 mo. ago).  If you do take DS to a ENT, make sure it's a good one.  I go to Mitchell Schwabber at Nashville ENT now.  He is EXCELLENT and has been practicing for quite a long time (I know that he has been working on my ears for 13 years).  I'm not sure how close to Nashville you are, but if it's convenient, I would definitely reccomend Dr. Schwabber.  I personally drive over 2 hours almost every month to see him and I think it's worth it.  I just thought that I would give you my 2 sense since I have gone through it so much!  Let me know if you need his number or anything else!

  • dawn-

DH wants to try the chiropractor route first. We have chiro coverage on our health insurance starting April 1.

  • Interesting. I didn't know a chiropractor could help with EIs, but I guess everything is related somehow. Hopefully that will work for DS. He must be miserable (and you must be too) having so many of them!! Keep me posted on how it goes once you get coverage!
