Found Dog

I live on the north side of Knoxville near Powell and the neighbor kid found a dog yesterday.  It's the cutest thing.   I'm going to go put out some found dog signs today and hope they don't get destroyed in the rain.  If anyone knows someone who lost a scruffy puppy in Knoxville, let me know.  I posted his picture here.

I'm not taking him to the shelter, but I don't want to take someone else's dog.

Re: Found Dog

  • You might take him to the shelter to get scanned to see if he has a chip.  If he does you can probably find his owners that way.

  • One of the vets around here said they'd scan him for free, so off we go tomorrow.  I really hope no one steps up, because he's such a sweetie!  We let him stay in the house today, and he just follows me around everywhere.  The cats are in the bedroom behind a kiddie gate (which they can jump over, but he can't), just glaring at him.  But they don't hiss as much as they did yesterday.  I think they'll make friends.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.  I'll definitely get him scanned tomorrow.
  • The cats are warming up!  But this old guy down the street said he saw two little girls walking him a few days ago.  They're a few streets over and no one answered at his house.  I don't want to steal their dog, but he is just so sweet!  I hope the old guy is wrong!
