weather check

Everybody ok? How are our West TN folks??

Re: weather check

  • I was just wondering the same thing :)  I was pretty worried here in west Nash., but everything's okay so far!  (Except we haven't been out to check on our car - had quarter-sized hail!)

Hope everyone else has a good report!

  • We were lucky in Spring Hill. Just a little wind here. I hope everyone in West TN is OK. Some of the news reports are a little scary.
  • Spring Hill here too and we're OK! Except one of my dogs was up all night shaking because of the wind.
:( Usually the benedryl knocks her out some, but last night was brutal!

    Hope everyone is doing well!
  • Everything's fine here. DH was out of town (of course! he always is when we have bad weather)--normally I just sit it out at home, but I was sufficiently scared last night to pack up the dog and spend the night on the floor in SIL's basement.

I feel so badly for all those folks in Macon/Trousdale/Sumner.  What a tragedy. :(

  • Last night totally freaked me out!  It was headed right this way (I'm in W. Nashville/Sylvan Park) and then kind of turned and it looked like Green Hills/south of town was in trouble.  Luckily it sounds like it didn't touch down anywhere.  I feel so sorry for the people in west Tennessee.  Did you all wake up to that second storm around 2 a.m.?  The rain and wind were pretty intense.Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying a quiet morning.
  • All is well in the Vandy area - we didn't get much sleep since the sirens went off again late last night, but we're fine. DH and  I area new to tornadoes, so we get pretty freaked out during these storms. I'd say we're simultaneously scared and intrigued. The hail was crazy!!

Glad to hear that everyone is alright!

  • We had some golf-ball sized hail here in Bellevue around 9 PM.   No damage and we're fine.  Very scary!

I don't think this yankee transplant will ever get used to these kind of storms.

  • We were really lucky in Brentwood. We're east of 65 and seems like the brunt of the storms stayed just west of 65. We didn't even get rain during the 9pm storms even though the tornado sirens were going off and lightning was everywhere. I had everything ready to get into the basement though! I was worried about our old house in Sylvan Park though - when we lived there we never made it through a bad storm without major tree damage all over the neighborhood.

The dogs woke us up at 2am with the second round but that one luckily wasn't too bad either. Glad to hear everyone is safe so far...
  • i was up all night worried, but we are fine. Our inside bathroom on the1st floor doesn't fit 5 people comfortably for any length of time.
