What did you do this beautiful weekend?
So, what did you do during this beautiful spring weekend? Hiking? Spring cleaning? Plant flowers? Or were you stuck with drudgery like work? If you didn't get to do what you wanted, what did you want to do?
Re: What did you do this beautiful weekend?
On Saturday, I had a follow up vet appointment for Henry (he's had surgery to remove a cancerous Mast Cell Tumor... great prognosis but tough recovery for such an old dog.) Then, I went hiking with some friends down at Morgan Monroe State Forest. After that, I got a splitting migraine, came home and went straight to bed. Sunday was spent recovering from the migraine and then in the evening, I had to go to work to move my office.
I wish I didn't get that stupid migraine. I would have done some majorly needed spring cleaning or at least raked some leaves out in our front yard.
They say today is supposed to be beautiful. Perhaps I'll get to try that today, though!
I was stuck inside most of the weekend working on freelance projects Mike and I did get to go on a motorcycle ride Sunday afternoon though, only to find that our local Ritters is closed ( That's one of the best parts about going for rides in the summer!
Today I will be out in the field for work, so I'll at least get to enjoy the weather
On Saturday, I hung out with the kids while Jon did yard work. We took a long walk around the neighborhood and introduced Gracie to our neighbors. (Many of them didn't even know I was pregnant!) We had my sister over for dinner that night and watched some of Harry Potter.
Sunday was pretty typical for us. We went to Mass and lunch with my family. We picked up around the house and then one of my co-workers stopped by with some gifts for the baby and food. After visiting for a while, we went to my dad's for dinner.
Sunday we went to church, leftovers for lunch, then took the kids for a bike ride (Natalie's first ride in the trailer), then took them down to the canal for a walk.
Today the kids and I went to the zoo, which turned out to be a great time. DH is taking Ben out to ride his power wheels ATV this evening.
I'm so excited that it actually feels like spring now!
Sunday we cleaned up the yard a little and did some other running around to Target and such- then just enjoyed the open windows!
