Anyone built with Ryland homes?

We relocated from Chicago and still have a house on the market there. But, we have been looking at new construction. We really like what Ryland has to offer for the money. Just wondering if anyone has built or knows anyone that has built with them.

A couple of our friends are right now, and they have had a great experience so far.

I have friends that built with Ryland about 3 almost 4 years ago and had a great experiance and the house is still in perfect condition no complaints.

We have friends that built a Ryland townhome (Berkley Place). The place is still in great shape 2 years later. The only complaint I've heard from them was the kitchen cabinet shelves were dusty when they moved in. Other than that they've been pretty satisfied.

We just moved into our Ryland Home in January.  We love it -- our sales counselor was great and we loved keeping up with the construction (my husband is a construction engineer, so he was in his element).  We have had ZERO problems with the house, and we absolutely love it.  The only negative part of the process was using Ryland Mortgage.  If I knew then what I know now (this was our first home), I would have used a different mortgage company. Good luck!
