DIANESPIVAL OF THE POST TRIBUNE  IS DOING A STORY ON FORECLOSURES AND HOW ANIMALS ARE LEFT BEHIND IN VACANT HOMES BECAUSE OF THIS.   IF YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING GOING ON OR IF YOU GET INFORMATION ON THE ABANDONED HOME AND ANIMAL(S), IE; REALTOR OR OTHER INSIGHT, PLEASE CALL DIANE ASAP.  SHE WANTS TO TAKE PICTURES  OF THE ANIMAL(S) AS WELL AS WRITING THE STORY.  HER GOAL IS TO SEE THAT  THE PUBLIC BECOMES AWARE OF HOW THE RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS WORK IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS. SHE IS FOCUSING ON THE NW IN AND IL AREAS.

Move along, nothing to see here.....

Re: foreclosures affecting pets....

  • Haven't heard anything specific to animals but have heard a lot of people burning or otherwise destroying homes to get insurance money... not sure if the pets are being removed or left inside???? either way.. not good for them! If I see anything I'll pass it on.
