FormerCityGirl re:dogs

I finally saw your reply on F&B.
I'm not allergic to dogs, but from what I understand from the gals on the Pets board, allergies can actually be dog-dependent. There are no hypoallergenic breeds, but there are some breeds that could shed less than others.
I would ask for more info on the Pets board (be careful how you ask or you could get flamed), but the gals recommend that you visit with different dogs to see your reaction. The gals have also said that sometimes you build up a tolerance after time?
Again, I'm not allergic so I don't know, but I know JGarvey did some research when she was concerned her baby was and I know other Nesties are allergic or have more info.
HTH!

Move along, nothing to see here.....

Re: FormerCityGirl re:dogs

  • Thanks!  I keep hearing different info on this and the whole "hypoallergenic breed" idea seems a little off to us (especially with how much they go for).  I've been around a lot of different breeds and noticed that most bother both of us.  I will have to look into it further and maybe ask the Pet Board (I just don't want to phrase things wrong with them and get flamed).
