WTH is a bride book?!

This is the second reference to this damn book from my ILs (MH's grandmother and mom) regarding records of the grandparents' gift to us (they want to give BIL the same amount - we could care less if they get more).
The wedding was FOUR years ago. I kept the piece of paper for the first two, but after that I figured we didn't need it.
I got a nice backhanded comment from GIL - Some of us don't keep as detailed records as others. MIL sounded shocked when we said we didn't have a bride book.
Move along, nothing to see here.....

Re: WTH is a bride book?!

  • Ive never heard of a bride book...and I know I only kept my info for who gave gifts until after I sent out thank you cards...so you are better than me!  =)
  • Uhm yeah... never heard of it... and my family is nuts about that stuff... hmmm... I might still have the paper list but I doubt it. I did a big purge and you have seen the remaining rubbermaid container so yah... I got nuthin!
