does anyone here knit?

I have no idea how to knit, but I'd like to learn.  I know there are some cool stores in town that I'm sure offer classes - but where do I begin?

I know this is a random post :)

Re: does anyone here knit?

  • I've been wanting to learn how to knit too! I went to a knitting GTG a few months back (w/ Abby & April) but because of schedule conflicts we didn't have follow up GTGs after. Anyway, I would be open to another GTG or if you/anyone would like to meet up for a class. :)
  • I took a beginning class at an Art Museum and loved it, but haven't been able to keep it up since we moved.  I wasn't quite good enough to have picked it up yet and be able to start and finish projects on my own.  I would find a beginning class at a yarn shop or art museum and go from there.  We had the best yarn shop where I lived in MI, but there's nothing even similar around here (Brownstown).  A good yarn shop can help you find a place to learn too.
  • OMG I totally would love to do a knitting GTG!  As long as yall dont mind my complete lack of knitting knowledge. ;)
  • I don't knit but I recently learned how to crochet with resources on the Internet and books from the library.
I have seen some knitting classes posted at the Castleton Jo-Ann fabrics before.  Maybe you could call there and ask.

    Good Luck!
