Re: Poll Stolen from TIP :-)

  • I'll start Smile

Song:  I guess that song Sober by Pink...   Maybe I'll look the lyrics up since I have a lot of time in my hands right now... Band:  Not a band, but Miley Cyrus... I guess I'm just too old Movie:  Christmas Story (yeah, kill me, I just wasn't raised watching it) Television show: Dancing with the Stars Vacation spot: Not a spot in particular, but I don't really get going to the same place for vacation year after year. Clothing style/Designer: Leggings Car: PT Cruiser (anything that tries to bring back the wood paneling on cars deserves to get cut from production) Household appliance: The pasta maker (really, who makes their own pasta? I just think it's one of those things you might use once and never use it again). Game/Sport: Badminton

Techie toy: Can't think of one

  • Ok I'll play since I'm bored.

Name what you don't "get/like" for each category

Song:  "hey there Delilah"  Ugh, horrible song.

    Band:  Anything country.

Movie:  Will Ferrall movies - I just don't think they're as funny as everyone else.  Also anything with Andy McDowell.  I think she is the devil.

    Television show:  Oprah.

Vacation spot: I agree about going to the same spot.  We've always gone somewhere different so we can experience new things

    Clothing style/Designer:  skinny pants.

    Car:  PT Cruiser.

    Household appliance: ???

Game/Sport:  Tennis and running.  They have to be the two most boring things

    Techie toy: ??

  • Pil - i totally stole your answer for the vacation spot, but didn't even notice you also don't like the PT Crusier.  How funny!
  • Song:  Short People (an oldie like me)

Band:  I don't get most "Bands" now days.  I'm old fashioned so to me if you don't play an instrument you aren't a band.

Movie:  Eyes Wide Shut with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.  Now that was a weird movie.

    Television Show:  The Hills

Vacation spot:  I can?t really think of anyplace.  DH and I really like to travel so I can?t come up with anywhere that we wouldn?t want to go.  I?m sure there is somewhere but I can?t think of anyplace right now.

Clothing style/Designer:  I've never been into designer clothes. But as far as style goes I really don't get why some guys wear their pants down so low so they can show off their boxers.  I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR BOXERS ~ PULL UP YOUR PANTS ALREADY!  Sorry but that really gets to me.

    Car:  Gremlin

    Household appliance:  Trash compactor.

Game/Sport:  Why would anyone want to watch golf?  I can understand why someone would want to play golf but to watch it on TV Confused

Techie toy:  Wii (Wii Fit) ~ I don't know anyone who has one but I wish I did so that I could see what all the fuss is about.

Thanks for posting the fun poll.

  • That is too funny... I TOTALLY agree with you on the Oprah thing, they Hey there Dhalila (not sure about the SP) song too and Will Ferrell (even though my DH loves him, I just think he's gross LOL)!!!
  • No problem Mrs Goose...  I'm with you on the vacation spots, I guess I'm the same for that as I am with foods, I will give anything a try and I think most places have something that's worth visiting, that's why I couldn't come up with 1 specific place that I think it's overrated.
  • Song:   I like big butts.  For some reason, I just don't get it, nor do I like the way it portrays women, and i'm not even a die hard feminist.

Band: Hanson brothers, or jonas brothers. I just don't understand the screaming girls who will climb the fences at riverport just to catch a glimpse of them.

Movie: I don't watch movies very often...so i cant think of anything off top of my head.

    Television show: Soap Operas.

Vacation spot:  The desert, or like others said, going to the same places each year.

Clothing style/Designer:  Big glasses where you can't see your face,  the hats with the FLAT brim and sticker on top - seriously?  I accidently ripped the sticker off a student's hat once,  thought i was helping him, incidentally, I wasn't - it's the "In" thing to wear the orginal sticker on your hat b/c it makes it look new. While we're on hats, the hats that are MADE to be sideways...it was bad enough when people wore them side ways, now they're made with that, and the flat brim and sticker, ah, uh um yeah.

Car: bugs. They're so small, how could someone fit in one of those!?

Household appliance: Bread machine. my parents had one, the bread wasn't that good and it took up alot of space.

Game/Sport: golf. I like mini golf...but, regular golf, I have trouble sitting through one round when it's on tv...

Techie toy: If i could name them, i'd mention them. DH has a ton of techie toys i couldn't identify.

  • Song:  Not the whole song but this one part of the PC Dolls I Hate This Part song where she sings louder and louder "I gotta do it...   I Gotta do it.....  I GOTTA DO ITTTTTT!"  I have to turn the volume down every time.

    Band:  Not an opera fan

Movie:  A few of my relatives seem to watch alot of gory movies so I'm listing them because I can't think of anything else.  Natural Born Killers & Texas Chainsaw Massacre (newer version) TCM has given me flashbacks ever since.

Television show:  Rock of Love  He seems like a nice guy personality wise but he's never going to get serious with one of these girls.  Season 3 Bret?  Or anything with Tyra Banks.  I used to like her but she seems to get really catty now with the models on a few seasons I actually watched.  She's always telling them you don't do it like this, you do it like THIS! while being all expressive with her face & hands.  She irks me a little.

Vacation spot:  I can't really think of much except for nothing too hot or too cold or maybe one other place.  I'm sure it's changed a lot since I went but Walt Disney World did nothing for me when I was a kid.  The idea of going there brings back memories of crowds, long lines and boring boat rides.  Did I miss the fun stuff? Space Mountain was the highlight for me.  It seems I have lost the magic.  The Mickey Mouse ice cream on a stick was quite tasty though.

Clothing style/Designer:  Ditto on the sagging pants.  This style should have died long ago.  It's stupid, not attractive and why not wear a belt or pants that actually fit to leave your hands free for something other than holding them up?  The only one's who don't mind this style are cops.  Makes it easier to catch up to the person if they need to.

Car: Those Smart ForTwo type cars.   I'm worried for whoever rides in them or those teeny, tiny sporty cars.  And I don't get huge spoilers that look like they should be in the Back to the Future or something.

Household appliance:  Garbage Disposals gross me out and scare me.  Just thinking of all this gunk and food being in there and not to mention if something falls down there oh my goodness.  While doing my MIL's dishes a fork had slipped down there and she reaches in to get it out. My heart stopped.

Game/Sport:  Extreme Fighting, Bodybuilding (the kind where every muscle fiber and vein is bulging out)

Techie toy:  Not sure if it's techie toys but I don't get Wii or texting really. My friends invite me over for Wii nights and I just sit and watch them.  My sil will text someone right in the next room.
