  • FIL is a jeweler and he says just to use a soft tooth brush and soap and it will restore the shine.  I do that most of the time, but I also bought the ring cleaning solution from Mayors and let my ring soak every couple months in it!
  • I have an insurance plan at Jared's, where DH bought my rings, and I have to take it in every 6 months! They clean it and do a polishing etc.

In between, I use this purple spray I got at the mall. Im not sure what is in it but it definitely leaves my rings shiny! lol.

  • We also bought the ring cleaner at the jeweler, and I let it soak in there every once in a while.  I brings a small brush that helps get into the diamond area (and other crevisis) to take out dirt, etc.

DH's ring was bought at Jared too, and that policy JLo spoke of us amazing!  We take his ring in yrly for polishing and they fill in scratches.  And if it gets to the point that the scratches can't be removed, they will replace the ring (even though I wouldn't want that b/c this is the orig, but nice option).

  • My jeweler recommended a soft toothbrush and some Windex in between cleanings. It works pretty well.
  • I've used all kinds of things. Soft tooth brush with toothpaste, Hot water with a soft toothbrush, and both of my rings were bought at Kays' so I have to go every 3 months for one or the other so they get cleaned there too.
  • I do the soft brush thing like every body else, but something someone suggested once really works. Basically use your coffee machines steamer. Wait until it get's really hot and steam comes rushing out. Put the ring under the steam for about 30 seconds, then clean as usual. This makes it super shiney and smoothes out any scratches the ring may have gotten. gl
  • Windex does wonders. Don't use it everday but every now and again give it a little spritz and a quick gentle scrub with a toothbrush and it will sparkle for days. Hope this helps :)
