Help! New job takes me to Alaska!
Hi!
I just landed a really great new pharmaceutical job. I have to go to Alaska for a couple nights once a month now and am very excited about it. However, I have no idea what I need to wear when it starts to get cold. Normally, in Seattle I wear business suites, high heel boots and a wool 3/4 lengh coat during the winter.
But I have no idea what I need for my Alaska trips. During the fall and winter what type of shoes should I get? What are the common brands and styles for business professional dress during the winter?
I will be driving to and from doctors offices and am concerned about being warm enough and still looking professional. Please help!

I think its mostly in Anchorage.
High heeled boots are fine, but BE SURE that they have very good traction. The parking lots and streets can get very icy and if there's a thaw/freeze, it creates dips and crevasses in the ice, making it very treacherous footing outside.
Also, be sure to wear long coats whenever possible in the winter. It can get very cold from November until January, typically, as well as windy. If the temperature is 10 degrees, and there's a 25 mph wind blowing, the wind chill can be dreadful. You don't want your hindend to get cold.
