Who has Good Friday off as a holiday from work? I do, and completely forgot until a few hours ago. Maybe that's a product of working at home. The only reason I remembered was because my boss mentioned short weeks in an e-mail and how they throw her off. I thought, "oh, she must be out on Friday." Then it dawned on me: It's a holiday! Woohoo.

If you have the day off, do you have any plans?

I only get 4 holidays a year. Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day and I think 4th of July but I could be wrong.

I've never had Good Friday off.  I'll be in the office working.  I did hear a coworker mention that last yr the office was let out a bit early... hopefully they will continue that trend.

I don't have it off either - I don't remember having that day off at any of the places I've worked.  But I am planning on working from home that day.

Maybe it's an Illinois thing, since that's where my company actually is. DH doesn't have the day off. I'll probably ending up working a couple of hours, anyway, just because I don't have much else to do.

Miami-Dade County Courts are closed.  So most lawfirms that mainly work with Dade close.  Unfortunately, mine doesn't.  I don't observe Good Friday but I wouldn't mind a day off!!!

i never worked good friday for religious reasons.  My parents never let us play or do anything on Good Friday when we had off of school- it's supposed to be a somber day.

I've always worked.  However, growing up, I was never able to do anything "fun" (i.e., go to movies, play w/ friends, etc) for the same reasons stated.  My mom always tried to take us to church for a bit to pray and reflect.

I just got word that the office will be closed... for all our hard work!  Woohoo!

Im off this Friday...but not because of good Friday. Its my regular day off. I work Sundays-Thursday.

Get this- I had to ask for a VACATION DAY to take Easter Sunday off!
