How many hours after positive OPK do/did you inseminate?
Just curious as I am reading mixed numbers of hours to wait...
Another question reguarding OPK's.... what is the best time of day to test?!
If im not mistaken (from everything Ive been reading,....) a OPK is used to "predict" ovulation the following day? ....I dont know why this has me so confused but it does.... can you ladies help me out?! Thanks!
Re: Q's about ovulation.
We were told by the bank to inseminate 12 hours and 36 hours after OPK+. So one time we tried we actually did it very soon after OPK+ then 24 hours later. The second time we tried we did 12 hours and 36 hours (meaning 24 hours after the first insemination) after OPK+.
Once we got close to when she was going to ovulate, we started doing the OPK tests every 4-12 hours. We didn't want to miss it. That said, I thought I read after noon (for us after work) was the best time - but I have to say I am not sure it matters - we were more worried about missing it because we have tended to get weaker OPK+ results.
Thank you! I think we finally made a "Game Plan" for this month!!!
Well... an hour by hour play is really what it seems like.
Thanks again!!

I found this set of FAQs helpful for the basics:
http://www.peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html
I was testing regularly between 2 and 4 pm, since the instructions that came with the tests I had said that was the best time to test. I might be a little more lax this time around because the day I got a positive OPK it was only mildly positive at 4 (one of those "is it or isn't it?" ones) but at 7 I got a solid positive and a positive on a digital.
No idea exactly what we'll do about timing-- it will probably depend a bit on whether our positive comes before/on/after a weekend. In general, we're planning to follow our Dr's suggestions, only maybe adding an ICI at home if we're on a weekend and we're worried we might miss it.

(We bought Answer brand, 20 tests for 20$, and are going to start testing the 10th.... twice a day, every 12 hours (5a and 5p) and then pray for a pos. @ 5p lol. Either way we are planning to inseminate at about 9a. and 5p.)
Gee I should have asked for all your advice earlier...before getting worried that I have no idea what to do lol!
