Hi Ladies-
I usually lurk over on the Military Newlyweds Board since DH is in the Air Force, but we recently moved to the Little Rock area so I thought I'd introduce myself. Right off the bat, I have a question for you...We have friends visiting from out of town next week and they are bringing their 2 1/2 year old daughter. Can anyone recommend some activities or places we could visit to keep her occupied while they're here? I heard there's a zoo, but I haven't heard if it's worth visiting. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Activities for Children?
Okay, not that is out of my system, let's see about keeping this baby girl busy! Here is a link from the Little Rock site that lists some family sightseeing and activities.

Also, the movie Horton Hears a Who is out. That might be fun for her to go see.
As for the zoo, I've heard it's not the best. My sil teaches kindergarten, and they were not very pleased by their LR zoo field trip. The one in Memphis is better, if you're up for the drive.
I hope this helps! If you need anything, page me on the D&R board.
I don't know if you're looking for activities that are special for this town or just activites in general but I figured I would throw some out for ya. There is a Chuck-e-Cheez here and kids just love that. Also if you want to go to the mall at some point in time there is a Build-A-Bear, and you definitely can't go wrong with that. You can also go bowling, if you do I would suggest going to Maumelle because the bowling alley is much nicer and a better environment then the one in Little Rock...they have the bumpers for the kids. There is also putt putt golf that is called Gator Golf.
I hope that helps, hope ya'll have fun and if I think of anything else I'll post it.
