I'm so glad we have this board as you can see with me starting some new posts.
Do we have anyone else here who's as huge an Olympic fan as I am? I am literally glued to my couch during the Olympics unless I'm at work. I prefer the winter games to the summer games but that's like saying I prefer winning $20 million in the lottery over winning $18 million, LMAO. I will watch any and every sport too, but my favorite Olympic sports are:
Winter Games: Ice hockey, all figure skating, and curling is surprisingly interesting to watch...
Summer Games: All gymnastics, swimming, and indoor volleyball
DH and I were looking to see if we could go to Vancouver in February for the Olympics since that's around when we'll celebrate our first anniversary, but it's not looking good since the only available hotel rooms might as well be in Saskatchewan. And I'm bummed that NYC didn't get the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Re: So who here loves the Olympics like I do???
I used to follow it much more when I was younger...not so much these days. Last year, it seems my wedding fell right in the middle of it...and of course every time we turned on the games, it was what's his face winning yet another one.
I general like summer better than winter - gymnastics, swimming, and diving especially. I kind of prefer more of the individual rather than team sports with the olympics. I'm weird like that!
I love, Love, LOVE the Olympics! I pretty much watch every single event- I love staying up late to watch the less popular stuff like curling!
An American Girl's Travels
I love the Olympics, but know that I don't come close to you on this subject Marie.
I love watching curling at 2 in the morning, I'm pretty sure I would never watch if it was on at a normal time.
I love the Olympics!
When they are on I am addicted and do not have too much time for anything else.
Too bad last time they were on it was two weeks from our wedding:[
I loooove the olympics! I watch as much of it as I can. I think it's a really great thing...the world coming together and all that. The opening ceremonies always make me cry. lol. I also prefer the winter, can't wait for 2010!
Winter: ALL skiing, some snowboarding, ice skaring, bobsledding, hockey.
Summer: Gymnastics, swimming, triathlon, some track, beach volleyball.
