What do you do??

Hubby and I are totally bored with ourselves. We don't have much money, thanks to knee surgery and 2 trips this summer. What do you and DH do for fun? We joined an indoor soccer team (which is why DH had knee surgery this summer. haha). Now we have no hobbies. We watch TV alllll the time. TV and Netflix and sometimes a walk. DH is starting to go play at poker games around the valley, which is fun for him but leaves me at home watching effing TV more. We need some suggestions!!

Re: What do you do??

  • There are lots of continuing ed classes offered by the counties or your city.  Like knitting and such.  We don't do alot other than workin our yard and read alot.    There are lots of free things to do if you check the community section of the paper everyday. They can be lots of fun and some of the things you think might be lame really end up being the best times!   Hope this helps!
  • sorry about DH's knee surgery! agony!  we're netflix nuts too.  i go to school full time and work full time, so my weekends are precious.  we go to all the shakespeare festival shows and most of boise contemporary theater's.  i use the boise weekly for a guide to what's going on.  the tour de fat was this last weekend and it was amazing.  there are always fun events like that going on this time of year.  art in the park is coming up and the hyde park street fair.  float the river on a raft or tube.  zip line through the trees at tamarack.  camp in cascade.  sunday brunches at red feather, goldies, and big city coffee are wonderful and always full of great people. check out the botanical garden (especially in the winter for winter garden aglow!).  go to the ballet, philharmonic, and opera shows.  the ballet especially is amazing here.  it really is a wonderful, busy city once you learn your way around.
  • We are always so busy with work, I go to college full time and we have two dogs. I honestly don't watch hardly any tv. DH sometimes plays XBOX and works in the yard. Sorry, I have no suggestions.
  • My hobbies are getting more degrees and taking classes and homework. I should have less hobbies so I can lose all the weight I gained!
  • I work to much so I don't have time to do anything else. We like to go for walks with the dogs and hang out for fun. Sorry i'm no help.
