Dog get together?

Has anyone been to the new dog park off Roosevelt?  I think there are a couple dog owners on our board.  I went with my dog the other night....and no dogs were there     I love it when my dog goes to bed TIRED and happy.  Does anyone want to get together sometime with their dogs?  I know it has been WAY too hot lately, so maybe we could get together early on a Saturday morning?  Plus it would be a great opportunity to meet new dog lovers! Let me know if you are interested!  My email is rachel_goehner at hotmail dot com

I would love to the next time I am in Boise.  Sierra loves the dog park, and surprisingly enough, there aren't any in Sun Valley.

If my two dogs would behave at a dog park, I would love to take them. But neither of them are great about coming to me when I call them or staying within boundaries. We are working on this.

I'd love to!  My dog loves (!) other dogs... though sometimes they don't love him enough.  I don't know where that dog park is though.

I'm glad there is interest!  The dog park is located at the new Morris Hill park:

It is right off of Roosevelt.  So the general park itself isn't fenced in, but the dog park is surrounded on all four sides by chain link fence.  The only thing that would be nicer is if there was more shade in the park.  Since it is a brand new park (it opened sometime this June), the trees are small, and there are not a lot of shad opportunities.  That is why I suggest going in the morning when it is cooler! 

I am just excited there is interest.  I am currently in Wisconsin, so this weekend is out.  Next weekend, I have family in town, so next weekend is out.  I am going to throw out the NEXT weekend....the first weekend of August.  August 4th is that Saturday.  What does everyone think of that date?

I can probably do that.  We will be in the middle of trial prep at work for a special ed hearing, but I think I can swing some time to take the dog :-)  Thanks for organizing this!!

I think my DH will be traveling that weekend, and I might need to pick something up from Pottery Barn, so I might actually be in on this one.

I would also be interested.  I am so glad that there is a dog park now.  My puppy is touch and go on whether or not he likes other dogs so I hope this will be good for him.  I have two daschunds.
