Where to eat?

My parents are coming to visit from WI next weekend.  Where should my DH and I take them for a nice dinner?  I don't want to take them anywhere "franchise"...aka Olive Garden or PF Changs.  What do you think?

Re: Where to eat?

  • Take them to Bardenay or Bittercreek. They have great atmosphere and great food/drinks. I always take my parents somewhere new that they don't carry in Seattle so they get a different experience.
  • Murphy's or Berryhill are also great (not downtown though).  Both have excellent seafood and steak.  Berryhill has great wine.
  • I'm from WI and I saw a lot of restaruants I've never seen before while I visited ID for 48 hours (in progress of moving there now) I'm in Wy in a hotel as we speak. I would avoid the chains. What part of WI are they from? Have they been to the cheesecake factory? It's a long wait near Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee. Fujiyama's is fun, but it is a chain because I know there is one in West Allis. I'll look are more restaurants when I think. What weekend? the 16 and 17th or the one after? I might need sometime to google! email me at <knotname>@gmail.com
