QOTW: What's your favorite part about summers in Boise?
I've spent almost every summer of my life here even though I didn't grow up here (summer visitation with my dad), and I still don't really like the summers here (as a kid I loved Wild Waters (which moved and became Roaring Springs)... probably because I'm not really the outdoorsy type so the whole camping/boating/etc. thing isn't my favorite. But I do like walking my dog in the mornings in the summer... and last summer DH and I would walk up to Table Rock on Sunday mornings then have brunch. That was great.

I love the heat. I love when it rains (for short periods of course) during the summer. The only thing I don't like that much is when it gets super hot and people let their grass waste away-a pet peeve. I love the sunsets I can watch from my shaddy backyard onto the Foothills.
Yeah, our board is rocking!
This will be my first summer here but so far I LOVE it!!!! We walk 2 mins to the greenbelt everyday after work with the dog, we go 10-20 mins up to Lucky Peak or Arrowrock with the jetskis at least twice a week and I love the clear skis and clean air and the smells of all the flowers in bloom (sounds cheesy now that I reread that LOL)...I just love it here!
I guess I shouldn't tell you that my grass is a-wasting-away. Actually, DH is working on putting in sprinklers- it's not our fault- because all previous owners let it waste away. It doesn't help that our entire yard is covering literally a treasure trove of river rock (which I am currently picking to create a rock pathway).
