Saw your Pets post! Its definately that time of year. We've gotting a Wood Duck and a few Muscoveys. I would like to know where they are just in case we get one in and need to foster it to another group. I've notice the pair of geese on the golf course in the park were showing nesting behavior. They are so cute walking around the ponds on the course. And there are 2 pairs of Wood Ducks nesting somewhere on the recreation lake. So very pretty.
Oh, and to answer your question, its CANADA not canadian.

Re: ::KKH::: re: goslings
Hahaha! For the last two weeks I've been thinking, "I'll page Sax, she'll know what's up with this goose!!" But then I'd do a bit more reading and think, "Nah, she'll think I'm nuts!"
This little family is right off Lakeshore near the pond/water feature in front of the Union State Bank building (in front of the big Baptist church where Hwy31 goes over Lakeshore just before Brookwood Mall). And usually by May/June there are TONS of geese in this area and around the Southern Progress buildings next to Samford.
Do I ever know this! I see them fly over all the time and we actually got an adult back in Feb. that was in the Home Depot parking lot and we released him to one of the flocks at the Pipline (w/ my H filming for the news!) It was pretty neat.
There are tons over on 31 before you get to The Galleria area and we frequently get hit by car geese from there.
Enjoy watching those babies grow! Its super cute and amazing how fast they grow and feather out.
