Hi there,

I work for a company that does those nasty comprehensive assessments for Montana students, and we're flying out there in May for a week.  I'm going to be staying in Helena, and was wondering what there is to do in a group that's fun? I guess they've done the gates of the mountain (I think that's what it's called) and stuff.  And a particularly negative woman I work with keeps saying that there's nothing to do except go out to a nice dinner.  So I figured I'd check-in with the Montana board and ask for some fun ideas!  Thank you!!

I think there's an outdoor walking mall in downtown Helena.  There's a hot springs nearby in Boulder.  O, and Tizer Garden is supposed to be really pretty.  They've got the Great Northern Carousel there, too.  (I think that's what it's called.)

Hike Mt. Helena.  (It's not a bad hike for beginners and has beautiful views of the city) The downtown walking mall has some fun little stores.  I've only been in Helena for 5 months (and those have been winter months at that) and while it's a nice little town to live in, there isn't all that much exciting stuff to do.  But, I've always lived in large cities before so I'm still adjusting to small town life and am a bit negative thus far!
