So we did get our nursery furniture delivered last night and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! We haven't set up the crib yet but the dresser and changer/dresser combo look like they were made for the room. Delivery was on time and went well. The dresser that we bought "off the floor" was still in the same condition (we were worried about paying for it and then having it come damaged), and all is well with the world.... : )
Liz - I don't want to mislead you in my previous post...Even with the sales Kidstown is still on the pricey side but I found it worth it. To set your expectations right, we bought the least expensive set there and spent just under $1200 on the three pieces...which was over our budget a tad but worth it b/c the Legacy collection got good ratings and seems pretty well built. Another local option that a friend of mine used is to get the crib at Kidstown and then go to Sam's Unfinished Furniture and get the dresser. She got hers for about $100 and her DH stained it to match the crib!

Re: Furniture Update
So here is the short of my long Kids Town experience...
I went to Boston and started a registry at BRU, but did not find furniture there that I loved. I went to Kids Town and loved the Legacy line, which has good ratings, and I think that the prices were comparable. So I registered for the crib and dresser/changing station. I then called a week later to try and get money off the dresser (why is the dresser SO much more than the crib?!). I asked for the floor model, at a discount. The woman that I spoke with said yes, took $100 off, great. I took her name, days she was working (to pick it up), etc. I went in a week later and no one knew a thing about it. The original sales woman called me to say that she thought that someone else would "tag" it for me, although she was the one who offered the deal and took the info?? I was VERY upset b/c the floor model was now sold. She called me a few days later to tell me that the line was discontinued. Great. A few more days later to say that she found one and could sell it to me at full price (originally it was 20% off, plus the extra $100). I was again very upset b/c in my opinion they made the mistake by not tagging my dresser. Anyways, they found one, and I got them to agree to 20% off. It's ordered, as well as the crib. The crib is now in, the dresser could take up to 6 more weeks.
I love shopping locally when we can, and I love Kids Town, but this put a thorn in my side. Essentially its all working out, but to the tune of an extra $100.
vtb2... I am SO glad that you had a good experience and that your furniture is there safe, sound, and free (delivery!). Can we see nursery pics??
Liz.... happy shopping. I loved going to BRU, as overwhelming as it was, it was also great fun and I am a feeler/toucher/seer. I needed to see everything.
Our baby is moving like MAD tonight, I need to lay down and enjoy it

So funny that you went to Boston too to start your registry! I really think it's the way to go...esp. if you are a touchy/feely/see it b4 you buy it person...
Also, if anyone is interested in a little VT mommy GTG I'm game. I think Liz is 11/12 wks, I'm 24wks and VTbride you are 32/33?...
