RP: Cookbook for Charity
Morning Vermont
Last year, the ladies on the New England boards on the Nest and Knot gathered recipes and printed a cookbook and sold it. All the proceeds went to 2 charities picked by the ladies.
This year we're expanding to all of the local boards on the 2 sites! We'd love if you guys could contribute a couple of recipes and when the time comes, purchase some books!
Any recipe will do: breakfast, vegan, local favorites, kid friendly, crockpot, snacks, veggie, etc.
Please submit your recipes to nestknotc
ookbook@gmail.com by October 15th (this is the final date - no more extensions).
Last year we sold about 450 books and raised over $2,500! We decided to donate to one national and one local carity and the money was donated to the American Cancer Society and Northeast Animal Shelter (a no-kill shelter in Mass).
*** We're working on making Vol. 1 available for sale again this year to those who may have missed it or wants more copies. More on that later! ***
This year since we're expanding to the other states, we're doing the top 2 national charities. Along with your recipes, please submit a national charity that's near and dear to your heart to be added in the running.
After all recipes are collected, we will do voting on the Top 2 National Charities that our proceeds will go to.
When submitting your recipes and charity, please include the following:
Your First Name
Your Nest Name
Your Wedding Date
Your Town and State
National Charity for Consideration
