NH Nestie needing advice from VTers

Hello,
I just had a great interview at King Arthur Flour.  I wanted to know about VT income tax if the job is proposed to me.  The only thing in NH we pay is medicare and that sort of thing...what percentage of pay goes towards income tax?

Re: NH Nestie needing advice from VTers

  • There are 5 income tax brackets for Vermont.

If your income range is between $28,401 and $68,800, your tax rate on every dollar of income earned is 7.2%.
If your income range is between $68,801 and $143,500, your tax rate on every dollar of income earned is 8.5%.
If your income range is between $143,501 and $311,950, your tax rate on every dollar of income earned is 9%.
If your income range is $311,951 and over, your tax rate on every dollar of income earned is 9.5%.
