VT vacation suggestions

Hi, I'm from MA and my H and I are thinking about spending a weekend in VT for our first anniversay (Oct. 21).  We were looking into northern VT.  Any suggestions?  Is that too late for foliage?
TIA

Re: VT vacation suggestions

  • Weird, I was just coming to this board to post something very similar!  I'm a NY nestie looking for something near the Burlington area the last weekend of September.  I'm a slacker, so just started planning. I know this is peak foliage time, and hotel rates are pretty high.

Ideally, I'd like to find an inexpensive little cabin or cottage to rent, with a fireplace if possible. I'm looking for someplace within an hour drive of Burlington (my husband's sister just moved there and I'd like to visit her while we are there). Do any of you have any suggestions?

(sorry for jacking your post mashed)
