Recommend your clubs

Ahh yes. It's Masters weekend.  Did anyone else check out Tiger's poor putting performance yesterday?  Eeek.

Okay so where are the golfers at on this board? 

I need new clubs (currently I have a mismatched set of hand-me-downs and I'm looking to upgrade).  I don't need a name brand/super expensive set.  I just need an upgrade.

Suggestions?

I bought my clubs during an end of the season sale and I was able to get an $800 set for $150. They're Callaways and I love them.

I know this might seem like stupid advice, but definitely buy women's clubs. Stupid right, but I just used hand-me-downs for years and they were men's clubs. I never really thought about it because I always wore men's soccer cleats. Once I got women's club I was hitting the ball so much cleaner. Now, that could just becasue I started playing a lot more or it was a mental thing, but I love my new clubs.

Not stupid advice at all! 

I used my girlfriends clubs at the driving range last season and I could tell a major difference.  I still shanked it though

I think that's my problem with mine.  I have a men's set and it just feels odd ... mh has a 3 wood that I really like using.  It's a Tour Select.  He also likes Taylor Made.
