Would you buy a car off of CL?
DH is kind of leary about it. I say I would but to just take it to a mechanic to see if everything is in working order before buying it. What do you think?

I would definitely take it to my mechanic, but yeah. I don't think it is any different than buying out of the classifieds years ago.
Yeah, we are actually looking at cars on CL and other sources too.. Shane knows a lot about cars so knows what to look for.. that said, we would still take it to a mechanic just to have it checked out. CL is similar to the paper or other online sites so just take a look, use your gut and if something feels off move on.
