Help me find a fabulous hairdresser!
DH & I have been in FL for almost 2 years now, and I have yet to get my hair cut here. We usually head back home (Chicago) every couple months and I get it cut there - by a really good friend who has been cutting my hear for over 15 years. Well now I just had a baby and won't be travelling back to IL as often. I would be willing to pretty much drive anywhere for a fabulous stylist! TIA

Re: Help me find a fabulous hairdresser!
My dresser is great. Been going to her for over 10 years now:) She is in the Heathrow/Lake Mary area. Carole at Shear Bliss Salon and Day Spa. They have a website and you can make your appt. online too.
I've had great experiences with Salon Salon. I've used the Metrowest location for 6 years. I don't know where you live, but they also have locations downtown, LBV, and Dr Phillips.
The only downside is that they are quite pricey compared to what I used to pay in Michigan, but being from Chicago, you'll probably from the prices comparable.
How expensive is that salon? I always walk by it but never go in to check.
IMO It's not as bad as you'd expect with the fancy Thornton Park address.
A wash and cut is $65, and includes a free bangs trim in between cuts. Of course, if you have additional work done or buy products there, it adds up a lot faster. I think the most I ever spent was on a visit where I got cut and had my hair colored and bought products. I think my total with tip was around $200.
I think they just rolled out some lower-cost service options, too (i.e. cut without the wash or a bangs-only cut, etc.), but I can't remember what they cost, so you might want to pop in to get their updated rates.
For the longest time I drove 2 hours back home to get my hair done. I know how hard it is to switch to someone new.
I recently started going to Carrie Czunas. She is awesome! She works at Vintage Sky Salon in downtown Winter Garden. Here is a link to her contact information... http://www.carrieczunas.com/contactus.html.
Good luck finding someone you love!
I second Salon Salon
Lots of the girls on here also go to the Cut and Color Room
and others go to Ultima Salon (just opened in Winter Garden area)
I go to Jeal (pronounced Hi-L) at Salon Ciseaux in Winter park..it is right off Lee Road/Wymore Road behind the Chevron. Any of the hairdresser's there are FABULOUS is Jeal is booked! http://www.salonciseaux.com/
I have been going to my hair dresser for about 5 years now, and understand the importance of a fantastic hair dresser!
I live in south Orlando and drive out to Winter Garden to get my hair done every 6 weeks!
I go to Candice & Co. All of the girls are great. I see Michelle Totman. She is amazing with color, and probably one of the most affordable hair stylest around!
I get my roots died, highlights and low lights, wash, cut/trim, and eye brows waxed for $75!!! The best deal in town! It's not a high-end salon, but the end results far exceed high end prices!
