Re: 2 Moms
we'll be open to letting the kids decide, but before they are able we'll probably stick to mommy and mama/mom

We'll do something like mommy and mama to start, and then I think the kids will figure it out for themselves.
Growing up, I had a mom, stepdad, dad, and stepmom, which meant LOTS of grandparents. So my family and I just came up with different names for them organically - Nana and Papa, Gram and Papa Bill, Memere and Pepere (they're french), Vo and Voo (portuguese), etc, etc. So I kind of look at the 2 mom's issue like that - if I could come up with 8 grandparent names, my kids can handle 2 mamas.

We are both mommy (when they want the other mom, they say, "NO. I want the OTHER Mommy!") We're letting them choose - but so far we're both Mommy. We've asked if they want to call one of us Mom and sometimes they say yes, but 2 seconds later are back to Mommy. So far it hasn't been an issue of both being Mommy.
we're not sure. we've talked about it a little bit. i think we'll probably try to encourage mommy/mom for her and mama for me, but honestly i think they'll call us whatever they want and we'll go with it.

don't judge -?
when we talk to the dogs, we call each other "the other mommy." as in "did that other mommy give you a treat?/did the other mommy kick you out?"
i'd love to say we'll break ourselves of this habit when we have babies, but i somehow doubt it. we'll let the kids sort out new names for us in their own time
?
No judging here - I do the exact same thing!! The dogs will at me for a treat and I'll say "go ask your other mother". When I say it fast it kinda sounds like udder mudder which probably how a toddler would say it - lol!
I hope we break our habit before a child's ears are around! To our dog, S is "the food mommy" and I am "the poo mommy". I SO don't want our kid calling me Poo Mommy!

I've been debating answering to this post since technically E.M. and I aren't a "2 mom family".
Since he identifies as trans and is transitioning we've decided we will present him as Papa ...he is going to be the male figure and since that's how he identifies I think it's important our children see him the way we see him.
Me? Mommy.
