Baby Debut -- Experiences?

We had our big U/S yesterday and the baby was uncooperative (cord between legs). The tech said she was 75% sure it was a girl because she did not see anything indicating boy.

Needless to say, I am too much of a planner to not know the baby's gender to a greater degree of certainty.  I scheduled an appointment at the Baby's Debut 3D ultrasound place in Madison (they also have one in Appleton).  Did anyone use this place?  If so, did you like it?

Also, if you had a similar cord issue and your tech made an educated guess, did the tech end up being right or wrong?

TIA!

Re: Baby Debut -- Experiences?

  • I didn't go there but wanted to wish you luck if you end up going. Our DD was very cooperative when tring to determine the sex but made it hard for the tech to get all of the other measurements.

  • We had the SAME thing happen to us with our 20 weeks us not showing us the sex. So we made an appointment with Baby's Debut and LOVED IT.  The owner/tech person is certified and did a wonderful job. Luckily, our baby gave us the money shot right away.  She did say that if we didn't get it, they will allow you to come back and try again.  She actually had me move around a lot to get better profile photos so they will try everything to get what you want.  We originally went in just to get the $99 package, which included 2 photos, but she got so many cool shots that we ended up buying the cd of all the photos for about $40 more.

Let me know if you have any questions. She was very nice and loves what she does so it is a great experience.

  • As curious as I was (our DD as well also had problems "giving up the goods," as it were) - I couldn't justify the cost of Baby Debut.

I found a place just north of Chicago - about 75min away - that was fantastic. Same packages as Baby Debut but much, much less expensive (I think $145?).

She didn't cooperate during the 3d very well, until the very end - but if she hadn't, they would have done another one to guarantee that we could "see" everything. :o)
