National MS Society Walk Event Donations

Sorry if this is at all inappropriate but I am posting in all my social networks, if any of you can afford to donate it would be much appreciated!

Dear Friend,

As many of you know my partner Tess was diagnosed with MS last August at the age of 32. This disease has dramatically changed her life as well as the lives of our family and friends. Tess suffers from numerous symptoms that affect her ability to function in daily life such as numbness, chronic pain, short term memory loss, inability to concentrate and on the worst days the inability to walk more then a few steps. The last 8 months have been an eye opening and humbling experience that has taught both of us, as well as her three children to cherish the moments we have and the quality of life many of us take for granted.

This Saturday, I will be walking with more than 1,500 fellow Idahoans in the 2009 Walk MS to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  I am gathering donations and walking to help put an end to the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

I am asking for your help in my endeavor.  By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Idaho Division provide services and programs to over 1,950 Idahoans with MS and their families.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.  Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs or severe?paralysis or loss of vision.  Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40 but the unpredictable physical and emotional effects can be lifelong.  The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by the disease.

I believe that my participation in 2009 Walk MS can and does make a difference.  The Walk MS is one of the National MS Society?s biggest fundraisers.  Last year with the help of people like you, the Idaho office raised over $173,000 in the fight against MS.

My goal is to beat the national paid pledge average of $190 by raising with my team at least $300. Please help me reach my goal by sponsoring me for 2009 Walk MS.  You can make your contribution or join our team by clicking here.

Thank you for you generosity and support!
