Working from home question

Do you ladies that work from home take lunch breaks and step away from the computer for an hour? I am thinking about hitting the gym but I am not sure if this would be a good idea since I would be out for about an hour with no email access

I do, it's just like if you were at work.  I put 8 hours of computer time in.

You have to treat working from home the same that you would in the office.  In the office you'd take a lunch break so you shouldn't second guess doing it from home. Email will be there when you return.

absolutely!  it's just like taking a lunch break at the office.

Definitely.  When I work from home I take breaks and sneak out to the gym or hair salon or mall!

I would sometimes work through  lunch but then take an hour off later on for a nap... which you cannot do in the office.

Yes, take a break.  You would still take a lunch break.

I get paid by the hour so my job is different, but I absolutely take time out to go to the gym and/or do errands.  I always let my boss know my plans ahead of time, though, so there's no confusion or stress if she calls and can't reach me.
