Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Why are all the other boards the same as they were?

They must be taking some time to convert the rest of them, or just testing this new format out. That's my theory. I mainly stick to the baby boards and they haven't switched yet!
Though--a bunch of us from the baby boards moved over to a new one that a Nestie created when it was sooo slow on here. We think it's funny that the formats are so similar! Check it out:

Of course, who knows if that's really WHY they changed it, but we're all AW's (is that the right term here..hmm???) and like to think so
