Hi!
What a funny coincidence that we're both from Pgh! I'd love to hear your thoughts on SC vs Pgh, and what you missed from Pgh while you lived in SC (if anything). My DH and I cannot stand the weather here, and we have been finding when looking online that we can get so much more for our money in the housing market in the South than we can in Pgh. Like I said in my post below, I am a little worried about the job situation, Pgh's unemployment is around 7% and I believe SC's is 12%. I work in non-profits and DH is in sales. We also like that fact that there is a lot to do in that area, plus the beach is so close.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks!

I know this has nothing to do with me, but I'm butting in anyway. If you go here: http://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.sc_greenville_msa.htm
You can see the unemployment rate by county. Greenville county's is up right now but not the 12% of the rest of the state. You can go there and search for different areas to see what the employment market is like in the specific areas where you may want to move.
There are some very poor areas of the state, but not all. Don't let blanket statistics about the state scare you off
