Share with me your best Diet/Exercise tip!

Give me your best advice for losing weight.

Since there are many on here who talk about losing weight and I know I'm struggling with this battle myself, I thought it be appropriate.

Heres mine:

Cut out all your liquids except for water. Try to drink one gallon of water per day.

Re: Share with me your best Diet/Exercise tip!

  • NEVER use the elevator, always use stairs.  And park far from wherever you're going.  These always sound silly, but every little bit helps!
  • I wasn't purposely trying to lose weight but I stopped eating anything that had wheat in it.....I still ate carbs (rice, etc.) ?but cutting out wheat in my diet really slimmed me down. ?
  • For me it is all about cutting out junk food.  I lost 12 lbs in the last month or so b/c I stopped eating junk- chips, ice cream, sugary cereals, pasta dishes.  It really works.

  • Oh- and I never drink pop.  Just water and milk.

  • I try to eat smaller meals and eat a few healthy snacks throughout the day.  I also just drink water and milk.
  • Cut portion size, eat fruits and veggies, no junk and work out in the morning.  I like to run...great results and a great workout!
  • I know I've already shared some tips with you, which you didn't seem to like very much ;-) . But here's another: try to eat about half as much as you think you need to. If you still feel hungry, just wait 20 minutes and you probably won't feel hungry anymore. I think most people don't realize the difference between feeling not full and feeling hungry. As you get used to eating smaller portions, you won't need to eat so much to be satisfied.

On the flip side, when you start feeling hungry, eat something right away. Don't wait until you're starving to death because then you'll overeat. I think the key is maintaining a good balance between having enough food in your stomach without ever having too much.
