Favorite Vegies to Grill???

I usually do mushrooms, onions, peppers and corn.  What other vegies do you grill??

Do you put anything on them or grill them naked?

Re: Favorite Vegies to Grill???

  • how about shisch ca bob? not sure how to spell it...anyhoo, like tomatoes or zucchini..mmmmmmmmmmmm with a little bit of salt.
  • We do asparagus and yellow and green squash on the grill a lot.  When we do kabobs, we do mushrooms, chunks of red onion, red yellow and green pepper, green and yellow squash, grape tomatoes.  You can grill corn on the cob, too.  Hmm, can't think of anything else right now.
  • zucchini, eggplant, pineapple (fruit).  usually just olive oil

  • Onions, potatoes (I have a great grilled sweet potato and scallion recipe), peppers, eggplant, zucchini - basically anything.  I either make a light marinade or just bruch them with olive oil and course salt.
  • Not sure which board or which food blog I got this from, but someone recommended an asparagus salad made with cheese, lemon juice, and evoo. I "made it my own" by grilling the asparagus first, then slicing them on a diagonal, spritzed the juice from half a lemon, drizzled olive oil, and tossed it all together with crumbled gorgonzola cheese. So delicious. And a nice break from my old stand bys: grilled red peppers, zucchini, portabella mushrooms, and red onion.
  • My faves are squash, zucchini, eggplant, and asparagas.
  • Zucchini, summer squash, corn, potatoes, tomotoes, asparagus. Depending on what it is usually just EVOO and sea salt.

  • i like to do asparagus, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and peppers... cherry tomatoes are good on kebabs as well.

i usually spray with pam to keep them from drying out, sometimes i'll marinate them in evoo, worcestershire or balsamic vinegar, crushed garlic, salt and pepper.
