I'll admit...we went to NYC last summer just to go to a game at Yankee Stadium, and I liked the "hip, hip Jorge" chants. The older guy in front of us was super loud.
But to answer the question for myself...my absolute all-time favorite player is Omar Vizquel (former Indians shortstop, spent time in San Fran, now in Texas). I also really like Grady Sizemore, and I'm still a fan of Jim Thome and Casey Blake.
ETA: Oh yeah, and Matt Holliday.

chase utley is my favorite right now - he's a good player and does a lot of work with the philadelphia chapter of aspca.
i also like pat burrell, even though he went to tampa. i wish him a good career there. he really came through when the phillies needed a big play in the world series last year.
I agree. Plus, watching him hit a home run when the ball practically bounced to home plate is always entertaining.

I love Millar. He'll always be one of my favorites! I also really like David Ortiz. If I could meet any celebrity, I think it'd be him. Even though he's definitely not hitting the ball the way he used to, he's just such a professional player and seems like a genuinely nice guy.
