Thanks for the Helen,GA rec. It was beautiful

Re: **Claire**

  • Oh, good. I'm so glad that you liked it. We had fun visiting Helen. Such a unique town that we stumbled upon.  We spent the day there eating way too much chocolate (is there such a thing?) and came back the next morning to raft the river.
  • The river was closed when we went (bummer) but when we go back we will do it then. We didn't eat chocolate we found this funnel cake place and I ate one to many of those. The drive that we took was amazing. I am telling you I am so ready to get out of So.Fla
  • We had a three story cabin in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We took hikes in the area and were just blown away by the beauty and quiet.  We had a hot tub on the second story balcony overlooking the valley.  It was insane.  Here is a link to our cabin that we stayed in. Was very affordable and I highly recommend it for your next stay: http://www.mountaintopcabinrentals.com/Cabin-Rental-Detail.aspx?CabinID=7

    I noticed that the weekly price has gone down by $200 since we went. It's amazing.

  • The economy up there stopped as well. In Cumming there we a ton of unfinished neighborhoods. How awesome is that cabin.
  • Yeah, DH did a great job choosing our honeymoon site. I told him that I didn't want to go to a beach, I wanted to be away from people, and I wanted to be in the mountains. He nailed it with this rental. I'm dying to go back!
  • Yea he did. It was gorgeous.
  • :::butting in:::

    We did the same thing claire for our honeymoon. We stayed in cabins like that in Gatlinburg TN. They were beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that the cabins in our "resort" were so close together.  and you didn't have very much privicy and there were families with kids there. Your place looked so nice.

  • Hey - you can always butt in.  We really liked where our cabin was situated. Ours was down a secluded road with other cabins, but they were separated a good ways apart. Plus the area had some old growth forests which helped kill any sounds that might have traveled.  When we went, we were the only ones in the area so we had the entire place to ourselves.

    I love the mountains of TN and am sure that your place was beautiful as well.
