Preserving your wedding gown

My wedding dress is still stuck in my room at my parents house-

Does anyone recommend a place in Broward or Dade to take my dress to?

Not only for me but Yocelyn MUST take her dress SOON!!!

Re: Preserving your wedding gown

  • Yes I know I do... I just worry about sending it in the mail. I know one nestie had said that there was a place in the Gables that she recommended for expensive gowns. But I dont remember which one it was
  • I highly recommend Society Cleaners...They did an amazing job on my wedding gown..Here is the info:

    3912 Sw 8th St

    Coral Gables, FL?

  • Mari do you know what they charge at Society? Someone recommended them to me after my wedding but I didnt ask. thanks:)
  • Missy I wish I could tell you..My mom had it cleaned and preserved while I was on my HM and she paid for it..I believe it might be a couple of hundred bucks but again I'm not sure..Sorry! But I can tell you the woman that helped us was amazing and my dress looked brand new after a rough time at my wedding..LOL
  • Hey Ladies,

I have been MIA for a few months because I got a new job, but I took my dress to Society and they did an amazing job!  I didn't know it, but I walked through red wine during my reception and they got it all out!  They actually use my dress (pictures of it) as the before and after now! LOL.  They charged me $350 because I had very intricate beading and a cathedral train.  That included my veil and the crinolin too.

  • My grandfather took mine to a place in Hialeah and paid $200. My gown is by Allure, with tons of beading and swarovksy crystals on the bodice, silk taffeta and a train between chapel and cathedral... They cleaned and preserved it... my Reception was at the Monastery, sot he bottom of my dress went from Ivory to BLACK... If you want the info, e-mail me :)
