3 months ago I cleaned out my closet, I was ruthless, and so proud of myself. What happened? I was left with some of my favorite peices that actually fit really well, so everything was all good. But lately getting dressed is so annoying because my closet was reduced to less than half and I feel like I'm always wearing the same thing! My brain is maxed out, I can't come up with any more outfits!
I need to go shopping for more clothes, but I feel guilty now because I'd rather use the money for the house! Ugh. What do you think the chances are of a bag of money just falling from the sky with a note saying:
I'm tired of seeing you wear the rotation of outfits, here's some money for a new wardrobe.
Love, God
Okay, vent over.
Re: Vent: I hate my closet
lmfao!!!! i feel you. right now since my belly (and boobies) are growing but not big enough for maternity clothes but yet too big for some shirts, i'm stuck on a routine.
hey just go buy certain pieces that you can work into different outfits. you're good at that.
i myself have put on a few pounds since the wedding, and find some of my clothes fitting tight... i also refuse to go shopping for work clothes, when i am stuck in a classroom all do... so i have a bit of a rotation going myself...
you can always update things a bit with a few new, inexpensive tops from like forever 21 or NY&Company, Mayc's etc... browse the sale racks and pick up a few new things for a good price to make yourself feel better... it'll help your wardrobe out a bit... and that way you won't feel too guilty about neglecting your house
I did some closet cleaning a few months ago, and it has really helped me when picking out clothes. And I've stocked up my closet once again ::blushes:: However, I'm of the opinion that "cheap" clothes (i.e., Forever 21, Target) isn't a good solution. For the most part, it just doesn't fit right, and after a few washes, it doesn't look good either. I am a huge shopper of the clearance racks. I usually don't buy anything unless it is on sale, and usually majorly reduced. So it has helped a lot on the wallet. I get some basic needed items at great prices that will last a long time.
Don't get me wrong, I do occassionally shop at Target and other inexpensive stores, but usually only for 'trendy' items that I know will go out of style quickly.
