so of course i don't change the water gallon on the cooler, the guys in the office does.  so a guy was changing it right now and i noticed there was mold inside there.  WTF!?!?! how long has that been there????? why haven't we changed coolers??? or atleast clean it!!!!!!! obviously i was like hello you cannot do that...super UNHEALTHY!!! i called the water company and they are bringing in a new cooler but who knows how long i've been drinking water w/mold.  i'm sooo grossed out right now...hopefully this has no affect on the baby!!!

uh he was standing right there and didn't say anything.  i was like MEN ARE SOOO GROSS.  i think he knew about it.

We had that problem at one of the offices I worked into. After we had to get a new cooler every time before the guys would switch them one of us girls would go and check cooler and wipe it out with a Clorox wipe if we saw anything. But they are super pron down here to getting moldy.

that is gross...what color was the mold?. We used to have our work cooler near a window so once  when we changed it there was green algae! so now we've moved it and flush it with vinegar and hot water 2x year.

That is so gross.  I would have died.  I can not stand Mold.  I would bring my own water to work.

the lady at zephyrhills told me that its prone to get calcium buildup and mold.  she told me that you need to clean it once a month. wipe it down and flush several times w/hot water.  but where am i going to get hot water? from the microwave???

omg that's terrible!!! now you're going to have to supervise everytime they change the water so you can keep it clean... bleh!!!!

You should get a quote for you office for one of those water holders with no bottle needed.  And they come and clean it and replace the filter.   We have it at my office and it is great, no bottle needed so no mold.  If you want their contact info, let me know.

that's enough to make me bring my own water from now on.  We use a Brita filter at home, and I just fill a thing everyday before we go to work and then re-filll it at work. I'm going to re-think this process now!
