When you just moved into your apt, did you move yourselves, or hire movers? Im looking for good movers in the area for next month!

Hey!
Sorry it took me forever to answer...I'm just getting home.
We used Accent Movers. They were the cheapest and we were happy with what they did. However, it was pretty much just two guys with an enclosed trailer (kind of like a Uhaul) that was pulled behind one of the guy's trucks. So, if you would rather something more professional than that, you may not want to go with them. American Van Lines was reasonable and they have really strict policies with who they hire and how they insure themselves and stuff and I think they are reputable. It was $195 for Accent Movers for our place and I think American Van Lines was either $240 or $275.
American Van Lines is www.avlhq.com
Accent Movers is accentmovers.com One plus about Accent Movers is that I was able to do absolutely everything over email. I got a quote over email, confirmed over email, and everything was set up perfectly and they showed up. They just called me the day before and confirmed everything. Also, if the day of it turns out you have extra stuff you forgot about, they will honor the quote they already gave you even though you have to add things. They are also insured and TIm actually really liked the guys who moved us, it just didn't seem as "professional" to me.
Ive gotten 2 quotes...one company is by the hour-like $79 dollars. And Im sure itll take 4-5 hours. How long did yours take? The other company charges by the amount you have. Their quote was 289 based on what I told them, and if they get their and its different they add charges. They were both professional companies. I dont care either way, as far as professional or not as professional, I just want them to move it all, and not damage anything or the walls. The last movers we used, nicked our baseboards, and scratched the walls alot. UGH!
I think Ill look up who you used...let me know how long it took them! You have 2 bedrooms, right?
