I am ending my addiction......
To ice cream.
I am making a promise to myself, my thighs, my gut and my batwings that I will put a stop to my nightly indulgence. I promise to make ice cream a treat that I enjoy once a week instead of daily.
I feel like I need a support group to do this. Either that or boat chain and a combination lock to my freezer.
Sorry to anyone who opened this post hoping for something more exciting. But I feel like if I say it "out loud" (or announced on a public message board) I will feel more committed to this vow.

stay strong.
I really love the shows that are on Thursday night, so that is my "cheat" night. I pop myself a big bowl of popcorn & settle into the couch with a big fluffy blanket and that's where I sit 'till bed time. Salt is my weakness since my refined sugar aversion started during 1st tri... But every other night I stick to healthy after dinner snacks: yogurt, fruit, etc.
I think you mentioned that you don't watch much TV, but do you have any other weekly rituals that you can designate as "ice cream night"? Having that one night a week that I look forward to has really helped me to not have a giant bowl of buttery salty popcorn every single night.
GL!
Good for you!! I will be in your support group, because DH and I have the same problem. It took us a long time to get it under control but I think we're doing a good job. The first thing we decided is that we would not buy anymore gallons of ice cream at the store...we don't keep it in the house anymore. Instead, if we want ice cream, we have to go to Coldstone or Friendlys or something. This already reduces the amount we eat because it costs more and requires us to make a special trip for it. We've gotten ourselves down to one visit every 1-2 weeks. My waistline is thankful!!
YOU CAN DO IT!!
