Colorado Nestie begging for hotel help
DH's grandpa passed. We are heading to Chicago on Saturday morning. I have to get us a hotel and apparently I'm the travel guru as SIL wants me to figure it all out so we can stay at the same place. Normally when we travel there we stay with the family that is there, but that isn't an option this time.
I need a good, safe, clean hotel for preferrably less than $100/night. The funeral will be near downtown Chicago, slightly west of downtown. We are flying into O'Hare. Something between O'Hare and downtown in a nicer area would be perfect!
Pleae help me out! I don't know the area all that well. . . Obviously.

Re: Colorado Nestie begging for hotel help
Do you know what neighborhood the funeral will be in? How important is it that you stay in the same neighborhood?
The highest concentration of hotels is near Michigan Avenue and by the airport. There are certainly others here and there, but they will probably be more than $100 a night. I know there are some B&Bs in my neighorhood (which is b/w O'hare and downtown) but they're above your price range. Honestly, I would probably just stay by the airport. Lots of options there.
