How much for lawncare and any recs?
Our lawn is so bad-it's embarassing!! 
The weeds have seriously taken over to the point where we could not feasibly pull them (and have anything left) and the grass is not green. We've used fertilizers, anti-weed, and water frequently, etc. Nothing works and we don't have a lot of time. I think we really need to hire someone. Does anyone know how much lawncare (w/ or w/o mowing) costs? Also, recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Allen. Thanks!

That seems to be a standard price. I've received 2 quotes on lawn services for our home and it's anywhere from $25-27. That fee covers mowning, trimming/edging and clean-up the grass clippings.

In the past, that is how much we paid for mowing also. I actually think that the old company we used spread the weeds/seeds via their equipment over our lawn. I really need aggressive weed treatment. Also, my H mows the lawn himself now.
Have you tried Spectracide - Weed Stop? The guy at home depot highly recommended it. We tried it and the weed wilted instantly. He said to continue the process every 90 days, fertilize every 2 days and to premerge in Oct and Feb. I would try that first if you haven't already. It's cheap about $7 a bottle and lasts about 4 treatments.
If not you can try trugreen. They usually have specials for $30 for first application and it comes with a gurantee.
